The Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre has been providing help and support in Horsham and Crawley since 1997. The work of the centre is supported by BRBC as part of its mission activities along with other churches and organisations in the Horsham District.
Our trained practitioners offer confidential, unbiased support to clients facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Our Education Programme restarted in October 2021, and we have already given our presentation to teenagers in several local schools. We provide information about the development of the foetus during pregnancy and the Abortion laws in the UK. We encourage the students to think about when life begins, and the issues around a crisis pregnancy, in a non directional way.
The Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre staff work remotely and part-time.

This is a brief update on the various aspects of the work of the Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre.
Centre Manager
As most of you will know, our Centre Manager, Dawn, left us at the end of March after four years of dedicated service, and the Management Team have been holding the fort since that time. The Trustees are currently in the process of recruiting a new Centre Manager and you will be hearing more about this from them shortly. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the trustees, and ask God to prompt the person of his choice to apply for this position.
Schools Work
Our dedicated schools team of six volunteers go into local secondary schools to give presentations about the development of the unborn child and the options for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy. Since October we have given Oasis presentations to the whole of Year 10 at both Bohunt and Tanbridge House Schools in Horsham, reaching a total of over 600 students. In June and July we will give our presentations to over 300 Year 9 students at Hazelwick school in Crawley. Please pray for the sessions at Hazelwick, schedule below.

Crisis Pregnancy Support
Although we have no locally-based practitioners at present, we are grateful that through the services of an experienced practitioner who is contracted to do this work for Oasis, we are able to continue to provide free, unbiased and confidential advice remotely to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. We are in discussions with a counsellor in the Horsham area who is in the process of exploring the possibility of working with us. Please pray for God's guidance for the person and the trustees alike. Please also continue to pray that clients who need our services will have the courage to approach us for help.
Baby Clothing and Equipment Store
In May this year, we informed our volunteers and supporters of the difficult decision we have taken to close the Oasis Baby Clothing and Equipment Store at the end of July. We thank God for the many years the Store has provided practical help to countless families at a difficult time in their lives, and for our team of faithful volunteers. Please pray for the trustees, Store team leader and team members as they deal with all the practicalities relating to the Store closure.
Finance
Oasis’ financial year finished on March 31st 2026, and our accounts are currently being examined by our Accountant.
The final accounts will be available in due course. If you would like to see a copy, please let us know.
God is good! We finished the year with £12k in the bank, and a deficit of £3.5k, because our income was less than our expenses again in the 2025 -26 financial year. A big thank you to our management team who worked hard to control our expenses. And we are so grateful to the 6 local churches and 10 individuals who have continued to support us financially, either monthly or annually. If you would like to make a one-off donation or maybe set up a small standing order, please do get in touch.
Trustees
We are delighted to welcome the Revd Michael Hogg from Brighton Road Baptist Church to the Board of Trustees. He will undoubtedly be a great asset to us as we enter this next chapter in the life of Oasis.
Volunteer needed to produce our newsletter
We receive beautifully presented newsletters from other Crisis Pregnancy Centres and would love to produce our own newsletters in a similarly attractive format. We are looking for someone with creative skills to produce a template for our twice-yearly newsletters. If you think this something you would be able to offer, please do get in touch, and we can provide an example of the sort of thing we are looking for.
We would like to conclude by thanking you all so much for your continued support of Oasis, and for your partnership in this vital ministry.
Every blessing,
The Oasis Trustees and Management Team
