Thanksgiving Sunday

This Sunday, 9th August we are holding our Thanksgiving collection at Brighton Road, which provides an opportunity for the BRBC fellowship to make additional financial gifts towards the charitable organisations which are supported by our Church. These include BMS World Mission, the Home Mission Fund, The Leprosy Mission, and Tearfund, as examples.

The Church already gives 10% of its general income to support external organisations, and all personal gifts made in this Thanksgiving collection will be given to those organisations in addition.

Our service today will include a thanksgiving offering, when gifts of money or cheques (payable to Brighton Road Baptist Church) can be placed in the envelopes which will be available in church and included in the offering which will form part of the service, or left in the offering boxes near the back and side doors.

If you would prefer to make your donation via bank transfer, please make a payment to BRBC, sort code 40-24-33, account number 01769707, marking your offering “Thanksgiving Collection”.

Thank you for your generous support.

Adrian Rudd

Women’s Fellowship Garden Meeting

The second of the garden meetings will be at Sheila’s house, 51, Guildford Road, from 2.15pm on Thursday 20th August, when you are invited to help her celebrate her big birthday!

If the weather is bad we will meet indoors.

We will start our new programme on Thursday 3rd September.

Sheila Stevens

Afternoon Stroll

The next afternoon stroll will take place on Friday 21st August. Meet at church at 2pm.

Message from Horsham Matters

The demand for food from the Horsham Matters food bank is outstripping supply. In June, 3,684kg came in, and 5,021.kg was given out. That’s a gap of over 1,300kg! Behind those numbers are real families, real neighbours, real people who needed a little extra help to get through the month. Could you help close the gap by donating food or giving money so that we can continue to make a real difference to people’s lives in Horsham District.

Big Church Festival

The UK’s largest Christian music festival, Big Church Festival, is returning to the beautiful Wiston Estate over the August Bank Holiday weekend (28th–30th August 2026). Visit bigchurchfestival.com to book tickets, check out the full line-up, and see options.
